Air Source Heat Pump
Air source heat pumps (ASHPs) heat your home and hot water by absorbing heat from the outside air, even in air temperatures as low as -15°C. Air source heat pumps still require electricity to work but due to extracting renewable heat from the environment, their output is greater than the electricity input, making them a sustainable, energy efficient way to heat your home.
Ground Source Heat Pump
If you are lucky enough to have a large outdoor space with your property you may want to consider a ground source heat pump. The upfront costs of installing a Ground Source Heat Pump are higher than Air Source Heat Pumps but this type of pump comes with the benefit of being more efficient for heating your home, resulting in fantastic fuel savings and low energy bills.
Solar Heating
Solar water heating systems heat your water by using solar panels that are fitted to your properties roof. Using the heat from the sun they heat up water that is stored in a hot water cylinder. A back-up boiler or heating system can be used to heat your water to a higher temperature if preferred.
