Should I turn the water off when I go on holiday?

Leaving your water on when it comes to holiday time can end up in disaster. Just because there’s nobody at home using the water, doesn’t mean that unwanted surprises such as a leak or burst pipe won’t happen.

Nobody wants their holiday ruined by a phone call from a friend or neighbour letting you know that you’ve experienced a flood whilst you’re sipping a lovely Mojito on the beach. On that note (as most people do) but leaving a key with a trusted friend, neighbour or family member is a great idea for if you do have a problem. After all, somebody needs to let us in to fix it!

Many people turn off the Wifi, gas or electric whilst they’re away, the water valve should really also be on that list in our opinion. This is just what we’d suggest, but it’s worth thinking about.
